5 Keys to Easier Travel

Proven tips from a world traveler…

1. Bring a small pre-made travel pack full of super useful and money saving items on the plane with you. In my own personal kit I have the following things:

  • Travel pillow, eye mask, and blanket

  • Two tea bags + stevia (coffee powder if that’s your thing, they will give you free hot water on a flight)

  • Chapstick, lotion, & eye drops for staying hydrated and looking fabulous when you arrive

  • Tylenol, a decongestant, Benadryl or cold medicine is always good to have with you on long (or short) flights just in case

  • Some sort of spray or roll on that smells good - you never know who you’ll sit by and what they might smell like.

  • Hate fuzzy teeth? Bring your own mini toothbrush that contains its own toothpaste. Those are wonderful, but they eventually fall apart in your mouth if they aren't used in a year or so, trust me!

  • Shout wipes are great for any mishaps to prevent permanent stains + antibacterial/hand sanitizer to keep hygienic

  • Extras I keep with me while traveling: nail clippers, nail file, sewing kit, tiny deodorant, portable charger + cords, hair tie, bobby pin, collapsible water bottle

2. Wear slip on shoes: nothing that laces up. That just takes unnecessary time and effort when you go through security. If you want your slides to match your bag, passport holder, or luggage tag,… we can make that happen!

3. Keep your passport, credit card, and drivers license in one spot. Something you can find easily and shove into a bag or pocket easily. Perhaps it’s time to purchase one of our hand painted passport holders! They’re beautiful to look at, show off, and make it easier to manage your necessary travel documents.

4. Bring your own entertainment: perhaps a magazine you’ve been dying to look through, a book, or download a movie or new album from iTunes. You never know what a plane will have when it comes to entertainment.

5. Have a recognizable and bright luggage tag so when you land and all of those 200+ bags hit the conveyor belt, you can see yours from a distance. This is a fun way to match your passport holder to your bag. Beautiful and functional!
